Oh how I love a backyard wedding! On a sunny afternoon in June, Ryan and Karen were married at the Dana Adobe in Nipomo. Karen made all the decorations herself, which were not only beautiful but in keeping with the wild west feel of the location. Ok so technically it was not their actual backyard, but the remote location of the Dana Adobe and fields as far as the eye could see definitely made it feel that way.

It really does go to show that making decorations by hand can look absolutely stunning. There were cute little details everywhere, from the bouquet Karen made that morning down to the strings of family photos.

It was very much a family occasion. Karen’s stepfather was officiant and her brother walked her down the aisle. Ryan’s four sons were groomsmen and Karen’s daughter was a bridesmaid. They are such a sweet and close-knit family, my face hurt by the end of the evening from smiling all day.
